08.04.13 JCA 10 mile

Compared with last weekends weather this Sundays 10 mile JCA TT along the coast road to Gorey from La Mare slip and back was run in perfect conditions. Well not quite....it wasn’t exactly warm (but positively tropical compared with last week) and there was an annoying south westerly breeze which made the return journey hard work....but the sun was out, the roads were dry and it is only the middle of April. Good to see such an excellent turn out and some good times with Andy Munns taking 2nd in the Vets and Doc Snook 4th overall in an excellent time and staying upright! I managed a pb coming in under 27 mins, thanks for lending me a bottle of rocket juice Des, it clearly did the trick. Young Sam Carney shaved over 10 mins off his time last year...oh to be young again. Good to see so many Ladies out, with Jim fastest, 1 second between Jo and Susan, followed by Nicki and Mary. A big thank you to Julie Keighrey for the excellent photos...brilliant...particularly the one of me (vanity being the writers privilege)
