08.05.20 Evening Road Race series
Tuesday Evening Road Race series, ¼
The Corbiere circuit is not every bodies favourite ride but there was good turn out for this first evening road race of the year. The new division allocations allowed us to run three divisions with a large turnout in Div 2. Conditions were perfect apart from a headwind as riders came round the last bend on the climb...just what you need. Div 1 saw Ali Cann just pulled ahead of Chris Spence in a tight sprint for the line. Martin Smith put in an excellent ride to pull clear of the bunch to win Div 2 and new face Marc Bertalli was a convincing winner in Div 3. Good to see juniors Sam & Stephen playing their part in a close group finish in Div 3.
