15/03/09 - La Hougue Bie Divisional Road Race
Sunday morning saw the first Velo Sport road race of the 2009 Calendar at La Hougue Bie. The weather was perfect for a good competitive race and it turned out to be just that. Divisions 1, 2 and 3 negotiated 8, 7 and 6 laps respectively. Ali Cann tool victory in division 1 ahead of Velo Sport’s Mick Higginson and Bob Cabot. Ian Williams took his debut win on the road in division 2 ahead of Steve Whiteside and Andy Ilton claimed a fine win in division 3 ahead of a deserved 2nd placed John Carney.
