St Ouen’s 25m TT - 1 April 2007
On what turned out to be a misty, considerably windy and mildly wet morning 45 cyclists took their chance against the clock. It was never going to be a day for PB’s with Chris Spence being the only one to make it under the hour. Anticipation was high with the Tri club using the TT as a qualifying event for the Island Games and perhaps it bodes well to see 4 triathletes making it to the top 10.
Behind Spence competition was fierce in both the Senior and Vet categories. In the Seniors Vince Peron and Dave Jardine took second and third respectively with Adam W just seconds behind. In the Vets classification Dave Mayman took First, closely followed by Paul Clements with Mike Mitchinson just beating Kevin Pilley to third place.
With the lady triathletes doubling the number of ladies, it was a good turnout. Jim Davis came in first with Helen Goulding not far behind and Sarah Smith in third. Tracy Huish was the 1st lady triathlete in.
