Easter 16m TT – 7 April
An impressive turnout on a beautiful morning with a noticeable ENE’ly wind which made it tough going up Hydranga Ave.
Competition throughout the field was intense. Richard Tanguy took his second win of the weekend with an impressive time of 37.28, an average speed of almost 26mph! Dave Mayman made up for being outsprinted by Andy Munns, on the previous day, with a margin of just 4 seconds! The ladies competition was surprisingly close with 4 ladies finishing between 45 and 46 minutes, Jim only just edging ahead of Helen by 2 seconds.
Further down the field Des just pipped Tony Pushman to the post with a lead of 7 seconds, something Tony is not likely to be allowed to forget... Fantastic turnout for the VSJ ladies with Laura taking part in her first race and setting her first PB of many, Jo doing a good time and Nikki gaining ever faster times. Good effort Spencer – but less smiling and chatting to the photographers next time!
