Youth Development

 

Velosport Jersey is committed to encouraging young riders to take up road racing and time trialling. The club runs regular races during the summer at Les Quennevais on a Tuesday evening and new riders are always welcome. We will provide bicycles on the day for those without two wheels and if neccessary a safety helmet, although its is better to bring your own if you have one. Safety is our first priority and whilst we cannot guarantee accidents won’t happen we will do all we can to ensure riders of all ages enjoy the sport in a safe environment.

 

For riders who join the club and show a commitment to developing their skills club bikes are available on a loan basis, on the strict understanding the bike will be looked after and returned at the request of the club. The club will cover the cost should any part of the bike fail except normal wear and tear items such as brake blocks. Club kit is available at a discounted rate for Junior members, contact Mike Mitchinson for details.
