10 Mile Time Trial 5^th June

St Ouens to St John, a short hop across the countryside, flat, a bit of a doddle on a bike really....but not if you take a detour round the Bal Tab circuit and then down into Greve De Lecq (that’s the easy bit).... and what goes down of course has to go up if you want to get to St Johns. Add in a stiff north easterly breeze and it makes it tough going. Still good to see 22 riders giving it go (apologies to those riders who ended up at La Pulente;slight organisational cock-up) and Dave Jardine in commanding form having recovered from his visit to Amsterdam...a surfeit of tulips no doubt. Mike Mitch gave Doc King a scare, but Andy Munns showed who was top dog in the vets, Des got one back on Tony and young Sam found a new course.... considerably harder than the one he should have done. Jim took the honours in the Ladies despite losing her chain at the top of the climb at St Mary’s.
