07.03 15K TT 5 mile road
Lack of marshalls (a reminder to all to check when you are on duty and organisers please remember to phone your marshalls prior to the event) meant that the route had to be shortened to a dead turn at the scout hut, making it an approx 6 mile TT. It made a pleasant change to ride in dry conditions however the strong westerly breeze made riding with a disk wheel and 3 spoke on the front an interesting experience. I spent most of my ride concentrating on not veering all over the road riding 10 degrees off the upright leaning into the wind. Whilst times weren’t that impressive good to see 2 of our ladies braving the conditions and young Sam putting in another brave effort. Best performance on the night has to go to John Pallot-Brown for an excellent time and Andy Munns for showing us all the way home...come on Doc, time to start training. Finally spare a thought for Mike Keighrey getting a flat on the start line. Thanks to Bob Cabot for organising & Russell Crowder for marshalling
